Story

How prince Aduna used the magic of Guided Exploration embedded in the AutoFocus to help a little princess find happiness.

Once upon a time

Princess playing happily

Once upon a time there was a little princess who lived in a country not far away. She was so sweet and pretty, that everyone wanted to give her presents. Her father, the king, ordered a carpenter to make some large cupboards and chests for the princess to store her gifts. The princess was delighted with every single present she got. Her servants sorted them out and stored them all in the cupboards and chests. And they knew where to find everything. The princess just had to say what she wanted to play with and the servants would bring it to her.

The little princess grew up

Overstuffed cupboards

The little princess grew up, became sweeter and prettier by the day and received more and more gifts. Of course she wanted to keep all her presents, so that she could play with them whenever she liked. So the king had more cupboards and chests made. And the servants neatly stored everything, although they could not remember exactly what the princess already had ... The servants got older and new servants came. The new servants didn't know what the former ones had already stored and where. Cupboards and chests got overstuffed. New presents were just left somewhere on the floor. Gradually the gifts piled up in all the rooms of the palace.

One sunny day

Servants cannot find it

One sunny day, the princess wanted to go out in the garden to draw the blooming flowers, but her servants couldn't find the pencils that she wanted to use ... All servants were called in for the search. It took very long. Most of the morning had passed. The sky had gone grey and it started to rain. Therefore the princess asked for a vase, so that she could pick the flowers and take them inside to draw them there. But even that proved more difficult than expected. Her servants did find a couple of vases, but not the one with the colour that matched the flowers so nicely.

It was very discouraging

Crying princess

It was very discouraging and the princess cried bitter tears. What was the use of all those beautiful gifts, if she couldn't even find what she was looking for? Perhaps there were even presents of which she didn't know she owned them ... The queen hated to see her daughter so unhappy. She said:"We have to find a solution to this problem. I want to see all wiseacres at the palace tomorrow to solve this seek-and-find problem for my daughter."

And so, the next day

Quarrelling wiseacres

And so, the next day, the wiseacres all displayed their great wisdom to solve the problem. They discouvered that the art materials had been stored in different places. "Let's take all presents outside and sort them all over again", they said. But then they started quarrelling about how things should be sorted. Should all dolls be stored in one place, and the dolls clothes in another, or should the Barbiedolls be stored together with their clothes? And should the scissors go with the scrapbook stuff, the sewing gear, or with the paper collection? Should there perhaps be several scissors, to be stored in all three places? They couldn't reach a solution ...

Meanwhile, the queen became impatient

Arrival of Prince Aduna

Meanwhile, the queen became impatient. She wanted a simple solution, and quickly, so that the princess could play and be happy again. Then her youngest servant told her he had heard about a young prince with magic glasses, with which you could find all sorts of things. The queen wondered if this prince could indeed be wiser than the wiseacres, but she soon realised she had nothing to loose and decided to take a chance. So she summoned the prince with his magic glasses to the palace.

Prince Aduna arrived

Princess does unexpected discoveries

Prince Aduna arrived with the AutoFocus. Of course the prince had no idea what things the princess had collected over the years. Therefore he made his magic glasses look into every cupboard, chest and pile of presents. When the princess said she was looking for art material, the magic glasses found so many items, that for a moment she was dazzled. Fortunately, the magic glasses could tell her what she could choose from: different kinds of paper, paint, pencils and markers. The princess said she wanted pencils and a sketchbook. Again the magic glasses helped her, by telling she could choose from thick pencils, ordinary pencils and water colour pencils. Then the princess realised she wanted the water colour pencils. The magic glasses told her where she could find them and soon the princess was outside drawing flowers. Prince Aduna let her keep the magic glasses. She thought they were the best present she could have wished for. And she played happily ever after!
